Just thought thought this would interest you all;)

Breaking a 26-year record, the 70-year-old has now grown a tomato weighing in at an astonishing 2.602kg (5.73lb), beating the 1987 record of 2.26kg (4.98lbs).

Ian, from Newport, South Wales, at the first ever giant vegetable show in Carmarthen.

“Now that we have this winning formula let’s hope that in 2014 we can challenge the World Record of 3.52kg (7lb 12ozs) which has stood since 1986.”

Pinning my hopes on 2 "Big Zac" and 2 "Big Boy" that I potted on today, "Big Boy" grown from seed saved from a previous champion, I do have more of both waiting in the wings should I have any mishaps! :)
