If a voucher's in a newspaper we always get the stuff in the trolley before one of up pops out to get the paper, because it breaks my heart when I've spent 38p on a newspaper only to find what we want is out of stock/insufficient availability and we've wasted all that money.

I forgot to mention we've also got a £5 off £25 spend at M&S voucher. Yesterday evening we'd virtually decided to go for the 17% off 3 x £40 shops @ Morrisons, but these came with today's post, a whopping 33% off our shopping + Clubcard Points + Fuelsave money off fuel + we'll do one shop using a £10 off £30 and our £3 off £20, so it's off to Tescos for the next 4 weeks. This shows how worthwhile it is to have several accounts and keep letting some go dormant so they send you a load of money off coupons to temp you back.

OK, so I do this sort of stuff all the time, but is there actually anybody out there who actually pays full price for their trolley full of stuff? (and why?, and is willing to admit it?).

I do if i can't find something that i would buy on offer, we only buy the stuff that we would eat, but we do check the internet the who is the cheaper at the time, we wouldn't travel lots of miles to get a bargin unless we are going to that place or near by

Today's money saving session was going in and out of Waitrose and using different MyWaitrose cards each time to get multiple free copies of the Telegraph together with free pizzas. Inside the paper is a £5 voucher (no minimum spend) for House of Frazer. Also in Sunday's Telegraph, so we'll hit Waitrose for a load more vouchers tomorrow. Then we'll do loads of individual shops at House of Frazer that wont cost us a penny.

                  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/promotio...raser/10692039/5-house-of-frader-voucher.html

Also in Sunday's Telegraph there will be a voucher for 2 free packs of bedding plants at Homebase (pansies & violas). It's going to be quite a haul of free (my favourite price) stuff this weekend.

                  HOF MOC.jpg

Last time there were £5 HOF vouchers in The Telegraph they could be exchanged for gift cards valid for one year, so they could be combined if buying more expensive items. It always seem to get more difficult to get something for nothing.

For those with Economy 7 electricity, cheap rate now lasts until 8:00 am making it easier to get up and use the oven for a cooking session on cheap rate.

There was a wood/coal burning stove/boiler in the kitchen but understand it was removed about 50 years ago and unfortunately the chimney stack was also removed.

This is how multisaves (that always come off at full price) and reductions combine at Waitrose so you get really cheap stuff, in this case 13 plants for £2.27 (17.5p) each. We spotted herbs at £3.50 each and a '2 for £5' multisave (£2 off each multiple of 2) had been reduced to 99p each, meaning that Waitrose would have given us 2p out of the till for every 2 plants we bought (2 x 99p = £1.98 - £2.00 = -2p). I could of had 12 plants and been given 12p out of the till to take them away, but added a rhubarb plant reduced from £4 to £2.39. I'll car boot some of the sages to get the cost down to nil.

Savings also come through at full price on reduced items at Sainsburys.

                              Brilliant savings there @Scrungee. :)

I only had to recalculate because the shears fell into my trolley, going again Wed/Thurs to spend my second voucher. Which is easily done as I need the chicken thighs for the dog, I pick up the packs with 5 in, so 1.99 a tray 10 trays, 50 meals, ordered 3 sacks of dog biscuit from Pet Supermarket today 10% off, they deliver free, that will last 3 months.
