    Hi All,
Let me just start by saying i know nothing about gardening but am trying hard to learn. We have bought a new house about 18 months ago, the garden was overgrown and the house needed attention, so having done the house we have now turned to the garden had a lovely cobbletech drive and path installed, new lawn and hedges down one side ( anyone point me in the direction of hedges on here as not sure how they should be growing or what to do) am currently working on the border on the other side and quite enjoying looking at what plants to use :-)
    Sorry for the long post,
    Aly

Welcome Aly! :) Kristen is probably the one you need to speak to about hedges. Start a thread in 'General Gardening Discussion' and he's bound to pick up on it.

                  Hallo Aly,
welcome to Gardeners Corner. Sounds as though you are getting grips well with the basics...the exciting planting stuff can take as long as you like. Plenty of inspiration here - any chance of a few piccies of where you've got to so far?

Thanks for your lovely replies :-) here's some before and after . On the right hand side as you look we now have a hedge, the left hand side is what I'm currently deciding what to put there :-)

                      Hello and welcome.

The 'after' pics look pretty amazing. For the left side that you're still deciding what to do with, I think it needs to be quite formal to fit in with the rest of what you've done. That means I have no idea I'm afraid, because my gardening style is more sort of 'raggedy mishmash':)

how did you find the cobbletech system? - been looking at it online for awhile now, looks a great alternative..
