I saw one this morning not sure what it was maybe a female Robin I didn't have my glasses on so it was quite blurry lol.
The good thing is there are very few cats round here it's mainly dogs the majority being Labradors like my daft hounds.

      Doves
      Sparrows
Indian Mynas (very intelligent but rather aggressive and tend to chase other birds away).
      Hadada Ibis

And about a week ago saw what looked like some kind of hawk (black) soaring above obviously looking for it's next meal.

        Blue tits
        Long-tailed tits

        Blackbirds
        Sparrows
        Wren
        Robin
Pheasant (a noisy fella as well!)
        Wood Pigeons
        Collared doves
        Crows
Tawny owls (heard them but not spotted either of them yet)
        Buzzard

And does a lesser-spotted woodpecker count on a tree which sort of overhangs nearby?

            Sparrowhawk

            Pigeons
I also have a little bird in the summer that is olive green and yellow, it flits about, but doesn't seem to stop, could it be a garden warbler? I look for it every year.
Starlings, but very rarely these days.
            Mr Pheasant at times

These are my normal visitors, but i am always looking out for something new. Costing a fortune in food! :)

What a lovely discussion, here are the ones that I have seen but I will take more notice from now on.
              Blackbirds
              Hedge Sparrows
              Blue Tits
              Great Tits
              Green Finch
              Robins
              Collared Doves
              Wood Pigeons
              Starlings

The Pheasants are down the lane about half a mile away close to marshy ground so I don't even qualify for half a point.

Its great to see the lists of different birds visiting your gardens.:)
We have a huge wood pigeon that has been coming to the garden for a couple of years I call him Pigeonzilla. It just landed on the fence right above my black lab and frightened the life out of her all four feet came off the ground :roflol:.

Sparrowhawk comes swooping by every now and again
Can hear owls in the evening but not sure if actually are in the garden so won't claim points for those.
Have never seen a magpie in this area though - I know there are some in France but don't seem to be any round here.

Lovely thread! Ok, here goes (will edit as my memory permits):-

                    robin
                    sparrow
                    starlings
                    blackbirds
thrush (not certain between mistle or song)
                    Herring Gulls
                    dunnock
                    Great Tit
                    Blue Tit
                    Chaffinch
                    Bullfinch
                    Green Woodpecker
                    Heron
                    Collared doves
                    Woodpigeon
                    Goldfinches
                    Mallards
                    Jackdaws
                    Crows
treehoppers (? Think that is their name)
An owl of some variety, or maybe more (heard, but not seen ... I thought the glimpse I did catch last year was that of a barn owl ... but, Mr "M" pointed out there are no barns around here - wondered if Mr Barn Owl had been told that? )
                    jays
                    wagtails

This is just such a beautifully rich location for a good variety of foul.

Thank you, my friend (Freudian slip, perhaps? )

You are most correct, I did mean "fowl" (although some of them are actually quite foul - ask Sheal :heehee: ) and - better still - yes! Tree creepers indeed!! :yay:

Thank you for correcting me ... I would have continued to make a right numpty turnip of myself otherwise

The next brew is on me :ccheers:

Malice doesn't even feature in my personal dictionary :grphg: So, not a word I am either familiar with, nor prone to use :)
