I hope you remembered to get 4.2% cashback for online orders
http://www.topcashback.co.uk/search/merchants/?s=Wilko That Topcashback can be claimed as Tesco Clubcard Points with a 10% bonus making it 4.62%, those points can be used to buy T&M voucher codes at 3x their face value getting it up to 13.86% saving. Those T&M online codes can be used when there's free P&P or half price seed promotions (they go in a different box to the promotional codes). It all adds up if you only buy reduced stuff in store and always everything else online. It also saves wasted trips to Wilkos when you find they're out of stock in store.

Been to "Morrisons" and spotted this loitering in a corner,
      [IMG][IMG]
Only bought it for the pot, but will try and save its life. Have you seen the price of plant pots, and I used a 3 pound off 20 spend also got cash back from Lloyds.

I've bought dying plants just for the pots or to gather seeds from their flowers.

P.S. I hope you bought that as part of a shop using one of the Morrisons £3 off £20 spend or £5 off £40 spend vouchers to get the cost down further. If anybody still has them, they expire tomorrow.

I only went over for some Carte Noir coffee on special 4 pound , 4 jars, couple of other items, just over 20 spent including my 59p plant, used my voucher and distributed the ones I had left to others at check outs as I went out.

We do that, and if it's an item specific coupon leave them on the shelf by the product. Most people realise they're getting a few extra pounds off their shop, but some very odd folks think you're trying to trick them.

(used to hang around the dog food aisle in our local Tescos a year or so ago handing out money off coupons that were only available in another store a few miles away)

Dead/dying Mothers Day potted plants only 50p each (an ideal purchase for cheapskate mother haters).

Not half price, not even reduced, but this seems a really good deal to me, Wilkos 'pick and mix'. Fill either a small £1.99 or a large bag £2.99 with as many nuts, bolts, washers, wingnuts, screw hooks, etc. as you can stuff in it.

So have I (or so I always think), but whenever I spend an hour or so looking for them I always seem to find the stuff I've got is always slightly too big, too small, metric bolts but (several types of) imperial nuts (or vice versa) or not quite what I thought it was. There more stuff you have, the more time you (sometimes) waste looking for what you need.

                      Agreed.
Or even worse, you need two M8 X 100 bolts and you only have one. :gaah::)

And when you get to the nearest DIY store they only sell them in packs of 5 that cost £5/pkt and you also have to buy a separate pack of plate washers costing £3 but you only needed 4 of them, plus a separate pack of M8 nuts costing £4 when you only needed one of them, or you could always wait until the weekend when there's a car boot sale (if it's Summer) and use your Sunday morning to drive a 30 mile return trip and hope the stallholder who sells nuts & bolts will be there so you can save a couple of quid.

I couldn't agree with you more on the way bolts, nuts and washers are sold in the DIY stores.
                            It's a complete rip-off.
