I'm glad you started this thread, I was also getting a little concerned.

Hi all, I still havn't seen any signs yet but I am still hopeful. I have a few hostas in a raised bed walled with slate which helps me control slugs to a certain degree. I combat the slugs outside the bed wall before they get in.

Some have a bit of protrusion above ground, but others still seem in the land of nod! Must have another look as has been about a week since I last checked them all. They have been so reliable I just wait..... lol

ah ah ... we have lift off! A few signs poking through now. I'm a bit more happy.

I'll make a note of the date so I don't panic next year.

            Thanks everyone.

Hate to be pedantic, but that is verbatim, what I said. Did you copy and paste. No probs, but you should quote.

                  Welcome.

I hope I have not scared @belling off

The Hosta's out front have gone from being invisible just a week or so ago, to having several leaves a couple of inches above ground, (pics later), whereas what was a week or so ago, the most up, which is in the back garden is still only showing shoots

So sorry to read about the 'quackers' M :frown:
