      Thanks @Spruce :)

Funny enough, I did mention to Mrs C that I might paint the barrels in years to come - I was thinking some etch primer and then some black stone chip to tone the colour down a bit. I'll give them a season with stuff in them though before I decide.

Emptied the small compost bin which has been there for 4 years to unearth some black gold!
Only put leaves, food waste, grass clippings and newspaper in this bin.
Got 4 bags full, all sieved through beautiful smelling stuff if you know what I mean :roflol:
1 bag used to mulch acers, ferns, palms and roses
Saving the other 3 bags for my birthday presents(hopefully they'll come soon )
Watered everything in the GH, things are really starting to move now :)

Did not get around to pricking out and potting up, but did manage to plant out some for my reward. It is surprising how the warm sun can quickly drain ones get up and go :phew:

I am though happy with my efforts today, the shed is very welcoming again, and I have left a few spiders for company, for when the cats are not around......:)

Mowed my front and back lawns and then my neighbour's. I'd also treated my neighbour's lawn with Weedkiller some weeks earlier to get rid of the daisies that were greater in number than the grass, so I've raked out the moss on the bare patches and reseeded it with a mixture of sand and compost....and of course seed.:snork:

                1. Greenhouse power washed outside only, covered in green algae , ready for it to have timber treatment over the Easter break, looks new already
                2. Lawns cut front and back, front lawn fed, lots of thistle in the front lawn very close growing and covered in sharp thorns, I cut these out with a knife.
                3. Pottering around, tying in clematis or weaving in.
                4. Fed all the borders with "rose granular" food , read a article that ivy loves a treat with lime so each plant has a handful each around the base so I will wait to see if improves the colour especially the variegated forms.
                5. All plants in pots needed a good watering as quite a strong drying wind today.
thats my lot for today :phew:

Phew, that's an impressive list Spruce.
Hope it stays dry for your GH until the Easter break,

Theres a second one to do this week, but Im having to wait for the Dunnock thats nested in the ivy I need to clear to finish up - shes got three hungry mouths to feed & she wont do it while Im working out there.

Meanwhile out the front the grass needs a cut, but Im waiting for the snowdrops & daffs to start to die back.

Bought another set of shelves, so assembled them when I got home from work - used my drill as a screwdriver this time, and kicked myself the whole time for not using it to build the last lot.......

Then, they were transferred to the greenhouse and everything was given a good watering.

Sown about 50 sunflowers with my son, then 2 trays of marigolds, gerbra. I have also sown some broad beans.
