If you want others, I have plenty in the Tomato seedswap thread. Your tomatoes have very interesting names,

Last year one of my granddaughters presented me with a packet of Tumbling Tom, together we planted every seed, every one germinated and I had plants in buckets, barrels, hanging baskets and anything else I could find, my granddaughter, Ave-Mae, was delighted.
This year I am back to normal with Shirley and Ferline for the greenhouse and my lovely Marmande for outside.

Thanks Jenny. Is there still time to grow from seed? I thought I was a bit late, hence why I bought some plants. Plus I did want to try some different varieties that I'd never heard of before. I have nothing to offer in return for the swap though.

I have only just sown mine (2/4/2014) and they are only just showing their first true leaf. Good germination and , if this weather carries on, well catch up with the early birds.
So, have a look at the list, PM me with your choice and your address, and I'll get some off to you pronto,
      Jenny

Not too late to sow, imo. As I'm moving house, I haven't sown anything yet. Just worth noting, the consensus seems to be that Tomatoes need a minimum of 10c;)

@Jenny namaste, they arrived this morning :hapydancsmil:. Can't believe how quick they got here - they'll be sown this afternoon. Thank you again.

Despite my best efforts not to grow too many toms this year, and to hold off on starting them I appear to have:

              Alicante
              Red Cherry
              Marmande
              Mortgage lifter
              Brandywine Red
              Tlacolula (new to me)
              Jersey Devil (new to me)

+ a couple of others that Ive forgotten. Most have germinated & the first two batches are already out in the greenhouse (heated) 'cos Im out of space.

              Should be a good year.

I pricked out 48 seedlings ( 6 x 8 different varieties today). They've all got to live indoors upstairs on the sunny side window ledges,

I've reduced the number of varieties sown this year (I can always grow out a few other varieties from my seed bank each year for seed saving).

                  General tomato production:

                  Sweet Million ('so called' F1)
                  Gardeners Delight
                  Ferline F1
                  Red Robin
                  Red Alert F1
                  Sungold F1
                  Brasero
                  Koralik
'Mystery' Cordon - might be a new variety, I'm now going to trial it outdoors.

For a comparison trialling F1 seeds against F2 saved seeds from:

                  Sweet Million F2
                  Sungold F2
                  Red Alert F2

                  For the heaviest tomato competition

                  Phil's Fantastic
                  Angelina's Bulgarian
Giant - seeds that came from this tomato

                    @Scrungee ...'Mystery' cordon...that sounds interesting:blue thumb:

                    I'm also trialing F1 and F2 saved Beefmasters:thumbsup:

Update on my 'early' Red Cherrys.....Been eating them for a week now...It's nice to have that home grown taste again:dancy:

I really miss that taste Loli. I actually almost entirely stopped buying supermarket toms after having my own last summer.
