No lights along the sides of the trailers either. I know because I collided with one being towed at night as, having been blinded by the tractor lights at the front, so close together that you have no idea what the width of the vehicle is, I assumed that there was nothing behind it ...

Was the tractor using just it's headlights or did he/she have all working lights on as well, the working lights should not be used as head lights on the highway (front and rear) here there are lots of farmers running around with working lights on the back and you think it's another vehical coming towards you on the wrong side of the road, the police not do any thing about it :gaah:

It was a long time ago. Headlights may be further apart now, but back then close-together meant Tractor or Land Rover. I was in a low sports car, and the lights were at a "blinding height" so I aimed for verge and then, in order to avoid any potential obstacle there, as soon as I was past the tractor/land-rover I headed back to "middle of road" ... where his towed trailer was.

That buckled the driver-side front wheel and by the time I had worked out that I was in a drift but opposite-lock wasn't seeming to make any difference I had taken out several dozen yards of picket fence and come to a sudden stop in contact with an Oak tree which punctuating the fence. I didn't contest the price for replacing the picket fence as it turned out it was owned by the County's then Lord Lieutenant :)

No, they're about the same, headlights in the bonnet beween front wheels and the side lights up by the cab, working lights (which are the same as full beam but wide angle) on the tops of cabs and also by the side lights as well front and back (if theese are on then you will not see anything)
