    Guys,

This might seem a really dumb question (I'm new to this), but would a general purpose feed go some way to helping prevent transplant shock? I've moved some sycamore saplings about 1-1.5m high (late I know) as I need the shelter.

Would like to do as much as possible to mitigate the risk as I realised I've left things rather late.

    Cheers
    Paul.

I'd have put some bonemeal in the planting hole first Paul but you could sprinkle some around the trees and water in:blue thumb:

And keep on watering in, right through summer. And if they they do fail, let me know and I'll happily send you a big bag of the seeds that fall on my lawn from next door's tree every autumn.

Cheers for the advice guys...Will try the bonemeal tomorrow These saplings do have a habit of finding themselves EVERYWHERE... Just not where I want them! Thankfully I have no neighbours to wind up by the aerial bombardment of seeds!!
