Planted some trailing begonias in planters. Planted out some osteospermums and some freesias. Dead headed the anemones and cut the bare tulip stalks. Then rain stopped play for the rest of the afternoon. The garden seems to be getting out of control with weeds, self seeded plants and plants that are huge much earlier than they should be. Not sure where I'm going to put the plants that are growing nicely in the green house. Unless I create another flower bed just for them........

Had a lovely lunch with my lovely family!
Braved the rain to go and water the figs and seedlings in the greenhouse. Thinking about putting a green wild flower roof on the concrete garage (?) Floated the idea and OH is 'flinging a deafun" at the moment lol!

Loads of potting on tonight brugmansia, cannas, fuchsias, echiums then managed to knock over a 10 pots of impatiens balsamina off the shelf :wallbanging: all over the floor.
Did me a favour though because they looked ok on top but there were hardly any root growth :dunno:
Potted them back up but just sowed some more just in case.

Moved an ornamental grass rootball to make room for two types of monarda to sit behind it.

Otherwise generally worrying about my hellebore silver prince as it's new leaves are flopping about all over the place following the rain.

@JackJJW ......You've got to stop worrying about your plants so much! :) The Hellebore will pick up, many plants get droopy leaves after rain and unless the stems have snapped they will pick up as soon as they dry off.

Sounds a bit like me! The rain tends to make me droopy until I dry off. :heehee:

Didn't do a lot yesterday. Tried making space in the greenhouse to fit in the runner beans that I planted in trays. Three hundred runner beans take up a lot of room! Only another two hundred to do next week. :blue thumb:

Won't be doing much unless this rain goes away. Was going to cut the grass and then plant up a few more containers. Aster seedlings are about ready for potting up too so might get that done.

Guess what? The 300 beans have just been moved into the summerhouse to make room for some hanging baskets that are going to need frost protection! :phew:

Not much down out there today as other things took my time. I've strimmed the bank and mowed the back lawn. Oh, and filled the bird bath up for the starlings to promptly empty again.
