Not a day to want to turn right at the junction. Bikes rule the road today. What a great weather day they are enjoying,
    Jenny

Good to see them out and about Jenny. :dbgrtmb: I wonder how many of them will be here in just under three weeks? :)

Edit on 12/07/2019: At the time of this thread I was living on the Isle of Man.

I much prefer them to the hoards of cyclists I also came across.
They were a pain, strung out along the road all trying to overtake one another, and no way you could get passed them.

Funny you should say that Pete, because when I was a cyclist, I used to say that about motorists:heehee:

Almost makes me wish that I still had a bike Jenny!

I had to do just over two miles behind a similar bunch of twonks yesterday too. It was a single track road and I was in my "Chelsea tractor" and they would not pull over for five seconds so that I could pass. It's typical of the attitude of many (not all) cyclists.
Even worse are the t0$$ers that ride on the pavement. Worse still are the parents who ride their bikes on the pavements with their children - they grow up thinking that it's acceptable!

me too... on days like these.....
.they were being "chaperoned "...;) and prevented from bunching up. A distinct gap of about 3 minutes between groups of bikers. This allowed a car or two to join the A21 - which they had every right to do of course and it saves arguments which often end in very sad tears - or worse. The mood was light hearted - just having fun. Mr Namaste rode down about 1.30pm and there was wall to wall bikes all along the sea front from Hastings Old Town westward for 2 miles - 2 deep in places. Lots of fish and chips consumed today - welcome revenue for Hastings...

@Freddy, you should come to T.T. you'd love it! We've had as many as 30,000 bikes here for celebration years but they usually average around 20,000.....that's a lot for a little island! They're not yobbo's, they are lovely people and create no trouble, just here for the sheer joy of being amongst fellow bikers and the racing of course! :)
