                  China !!! thought as much well keep the lid on and dispose of properly , how bee disease are spread in the UK from imported honey !!! enjoy

                    Hi All

                    Its been a busy week for bees , Swarming time , this is how a colony of bees naturally increase they basically split in two and the old Queen goes off with all the new workers in search of a new dwelling , and leave the hive with Queen cells who will fight it out between them selves to be ruler , and all the old bees as most of you saw on the news this week in Central London. I will put the link on later for you very kindly found by @Jenny namaste

                    I have for the past several weeks had "Bait Hives" at the bottom of my garden 4 in total to entice swarms to move in , two are old nucleus hives that I originally bought my bees in and inside is a 2 old frames covered in old bees wax hanging inside. (the popular choice at the moment )
                    I do have two very new nucleus hives that have never had bees in , to my amazement I swarm moved into one of the bait hives on Wednesday another turned up on Thursday and today at 4.00pm another moved in so that's three in total.
                    I had moved the two this morning to my Apiary but I went back to check this afternoon and one had decided not to stay , typical of swarms why they didn't want to stay in 5 start luxury is beyond me seemed more happy in the hovel, so hopefully the one that arrived today I will take to the apiary mid week and lets see how they get on.

                              Good morning Spruce and thank you my friend,I just love Bee's they are always busy and friendly if you treat them with respect,they are so important to us in in the job they do,their wings are so transparent and just fantastic to look at,I can sit and watch them and find it very relaxing and rewarding,and to photograph one in flight is such a challenge and rewarding,sorry about this getting carried away;):)
