    Aloha everyone,

Moyra, I wish you better :grphg:

It has rained again in the night and it is much needed. Yesterdays rain, overnight, was definitely not enough and it was still too solid for digging. So I got about 100ft of the privet hedge cut before it became too much for me. So my aches and pains have migrated to other places :heehee:

I'm not feeling up to finishing the hedge but Michael is due in today so I'll get him to finish it.

I've taken all the chilli plants out of the propagator and distributed them around the greenhouse and in the blowaway (little bit worried it may slow them down) and filled the propagator with the trays of bean seeds as they haven't popped up yet. I know I only planted them on Friday but they need a little bit of encouragement so they'll be just right for sale on Open Day.

On our travels out and about yesterday we popped into some garden centres to see what price they were selling their beans and chillies (and other plants) Homebase was the cheapest at a pot of four for a £1. They were already much too leggy and floppy and will take quite some time to recover! Ours should be just about right, and sturdy, (assuming they pop up OK) for hardening off for a few days and then planting out. We've got them in pots of 5 and I'll sell them for a £1 a pot and two pots for £1.50.

Chillies were £1 for tiny plants with no flowers or £7 for large plants with big chillies already on them - nothing inbetween. Ours are nice healthy plants with flowers and some already have baby chillies (hot variety). They've just been transplanted into bigger pots so I'll see how they get on by Open Day and price them accordingly.

The sun is trying to come out

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

Good Morning everyone, nice to see you all on parade. I am feeling much better this morning still just a little lower tummy pain.

Shiney, hope your chest is feeling better and you are recovering, hope you haven't been overdoing things.

LWW. you must have some lovely walks around WY for walking Bailey afraid it is just the odd park or green here but of course with my wheeley walker it is not easy to take over fields so I am restricted to paths round the greens.

Loli, I expect everything is doing well in your garden now as long as the wildlife behave themselves. Likewise for you too Shiney.

WOO, good to see you, hope all is much better in the WOO household now. God
    bless.

Have a good day all and look after yourselves, God bless. :wub2:

    Morning all

Lashing down here. I know the garden needs it but it could have waited till later as I had things to do this morning. I'm headed off to Eastbourne shortly for a few days as my dad is in hospital with diabetic kidney problems. Hopefully will cheer him up as he's a bit depressed at the moment and if nothing else I can give his house a good clean for him coming home. And clear his garden a bit if the weather allows.

Loli, that has made me more determined than ever to get one of those cams. How lovely to view all that back.

Hope you're feeling a bit better Moyra.

Looking forward to seeing all the plants for sale Shiney. Good job I have a huge boot in my car :heehee:

Glad all went well in Aberdeen Steve.

Good thoughts to everyone, hope you all have a wonderful day

Thank you, Loli! Sound proofing and "masking" is on the agenda :heehee: (Although, best I tackle that: Mr "M" solves all problems with duct tape :yikes:
Thank you, Shy Knee - I'm sure it will, one way or t'other.
Just to clarify though: The vendors live in Oz - this property has been rented out for x years and so they may not be fully aware of things. Plus, I have no doubt the solicitors search will show this up: when they have completed their searches ... this was me being a nebby nose aka Private Investigator, "M" For example: I also know that there was a fracking application, which has now been withdrawn. That's not to say it won't be re-submitted in the future ... just that I'm not concerned enough to worry about it. Plus, I know I won't be in any danger/threat of flooding. I'm sure those will feature in the report too (and, if they don't, I'll know the measure of the solicitors!) ;)

On the good front: I paid for a thorough survey and the results are in - it appears structurally sound for a good year or two yet (well, if you're going to be picky about it: 300yrs+ is the guestimate :heehee: ) and the posh sparky has confirmed all the electrical bits and bobs meet the current standards
(That just leaves some double glazing to be fitted on the rear windows and maybe having the chimneys rebuilt - who takes out chimneys but leaves the original fire places? :noidea: Costly, indeed, but should be worth it in the long run: or, maybe log burners in the downstairs will be the route to go? :dunno:)

Healing vibes to all who are under par and posi vibes to one and all xMx

          Erm ... :noidea: ... ... can I phone a friend? :dunno:
Don't think it's made of stone; doesn't look like a cob loaf to my eye ... so, it may be timber framed?? I know it has timber in it because it is all oak floors :coffee:But, I'm sure the report said "brick" :frown:

Morning all, hope you are well.

Looks set to be a wet day here, although it is dry at the mo.

            Have a great day.

"M" Good luck with everything.

Plenty more work done in the garden yesterday. Back and chest doing OK now but arthritis in thumbs a bit of a bother this morning. I'll book in for Mrs Shiney to give them a massage :)

Lots rain forecast for today. The garden really needs it - so bring it on! Actually, the weather map says it's raining here already. Should I tell them they're wrong?

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!
