My guess is that they are all landscape, but your camera is marking some as "auto turn" (which is only recognised by "some" software).

If I open then on my PC, and save them (e.g. reduced size) then I don't have a problem with anything else knowing if they are portrait or landscape.

That pic was taken as portrait, ie camera on its side.
But its come out landscape when I up loaded it, it was also portrait on my PC.
I've only had this problem since using the new laptop.

      mowgley,
I would plant them in the ground now.
If the soil is decent, they will grow a lot quicker than in the pots.

Sorry, that's what I meant. In olden-olden days they would all upload Landscape, and you would have to Turn them (and resave). Then gyroscope (or somesuch) was added to camera, and now the photo has a "Rotate this" attribute associated with it, and your PC is honouring that - so when you upload a Portrait photo the PC automatically displays it like that. But ... underneath it all ... the photo is still Landscape plus "Turn me" attribute. I don't suppose the Forum can handle the Turn-Me attribute ... so only solution (that I know of) would be to deliberately "turn" it - probably just open, and re-save, and then upload should do the trick.

@Sirius haven't got anywhere for them to go yet?
Thus keeping them in pots for a few years

What about in the bed behind where the pots are?
Even for short term, I think they will grow quicker.

Only used it on tomatoes when they looked a bit sickly. Does it work for palms then?

I've read that Palms can have difficulty taking up various metal elements on alkaline soils, so I think it might. Acidifying the soil might help too - with some Sulphur, and a mulch is good so Pine needles would be ideal

Nitrogen during growing season helps (stop Nitrogen in August so as not to create soft leaves prior to Winter), and I use Palm Booster too.

            Never done this myself.
I mulch with manure in the spring, and that's it.

Brought a bottle of palm booster the other day with the waggys.
palmbooster is not a fertilizer it's a rooting hormone so I believe, should brought a specific palm fertilizer with my growing collection:heehee:
But i think I'll just use either chicken poop or seaweed extract for this year

I'll tell you in a few years :heehee:
