The old joke was , nut - screws - washers and bolts . I'll let you fill in the body of the joke:biggrin:
I use Screwfix to buy my ... errrr ....screws from by the box . Any odds and sods I need I get on Ebay they are here in two days tops . I don't hoard millions of screw and bolts these days , as above ,you could never find the sodding right sized one ( until one week after finishing the job ! )

:heehee: I think they realise they are on to a loser there now... Perhaps they should ship them to my friends.....

My Newfie friends had 12" of snow over there the night before last...!!! :hate-shocked: Just as the winters snows were melting fast and they had put the snow shovels away.!:rolleyespink:

Wilkos are selling the 10 litre bags of Vermiculite reduced to £2.50. Perlite was still at £3.75 though.

[@pamsdish Are they the 1.5Kg packs of blood/fish/bone and growmore that normally sell for £2 each?

If so I'd like to get 30 in my basket, use a £3 off £15 voucher and get them down to 40p each (27p/Kg).(the

P.S. I've already used 5 of those vouchers this week (still got 6 left) stocking up on various odds & ends. I've also been playing 'how much pick and mix' (the nuts/bolts/washers/screw hooks & eyes stuff) can you get in a bag that costs £2.39 after a 20% voucher is used. I managed 160 items in one bag, and it's not just me as somebody else was beside me doing exactly the same thing.

                        For example:

                        13 x 12mm screw eyes
                        5 x 12mm vine eyes
                        4 x 12mm screw hooks
                        17 x 20mm screw hooks
                        17 x 30mm plate washer
                        25 x 20mm washer
                        8 x 80mm M5 bolt
                        10 x M5 wingnut
                        36 x M5 nut
                        15 x 50 hex headed screw

                        or
                        22 x 100mm M6 coachbolts
                        52 x 30mm plate washers
                        25 x M6 wingnut

                        or
                        84 x 12mm screw eyes
                        36 x 15mm screw hooks
                        3 x 20mm screw hooks

                        or
                        49 x 30mm plate washers
                        40 x 80mm M5 bolts
                        33 x M5 wingnuts

I'll car boot what I don't need and make a tidy mark up on them.

I paid £2 for a 1.5kg blood, fish and bone in Wilko's last week, not the same box as above though, it had a white background so possibly older stock. We rarely get the special offers here that you have on the mainland.
