This has sprouted up on my lawn close to where I placed a Fuchsia last year that wilted and died. It's probably a weed although I looked at weed identification sites and can't find it.

I'd love it to be the Fuchsia but can someone tell me what it really is before I pull it out??

    Thanks

If you leave it for 100 years it will grow to over 50 foot high and look truly magnificent at this time of year covered in flower spires.

I'm sure it would look magnificent but it would also have caused subsidence of my house being only 10ft from the back wall!! And as I plan to still be living here in 100 years time I'd rather not have the problem.....

Thanks Silver Surfer.. No not yet, I did wonder perhaps this year but no.. Always keep hoping but not sure how old a Horse chestnut has to be before it flowers under normal circumstances...

I did rather wonder if conker trees would become an emotive issue. I've saved/sown/planted a few from special trees I've known.
