Big enough for outdoors?

Are these babies big enough to get transplanted outdoors? Courgettes on left, green beans on right. They've been in my pop up greenhouse for about a week now

 

They're big enough, but that's not the important point I dont think. The question is, can you trust the weather yet? I wouldn't. Still too much risk of frost.

Any chance you can put them into bigger pots , grow on for another two weeks ?

and the wind will rip them to pieces if not protected

 

And the sun/wind can scorch the leaves unless they are acclimatised to outdoor conditions before planting out.

 

I've got the same problem. Caravan full of peas and beans, but don't dare put them out in this wind, even stopped hardening them off till it dies down

 

Thanks guys. Will they survive if I put them into individual, slightly bigger pots and keep them in the greenhouse. Then re pot again when ready for outside?

Side note, should I keep putting my tomato plants into the shed overnight still too?

 

I'd say yes and yes.

But when putting stuff in bigger pots, I like to wait til I know a plant has outgrown its current pot and become pot bound. Before that stage, in my experience, all the compost falls away when you get them out, and it rips half the roots off with it, so now I wait til there are several good roots coming out of the drainage holes before I let them out.

Warmer weather forecast for next week, so I will be starting to harden off a few plants, I desperately need some space. Will be keeping an eye on wind and frost forecasts.

 

I dont wait till pot bound but when enough roots are coming through and the plant looks to big for the pot , I know it can be fiddly but they soon pick up the following day and also its a chance if the plant has gone "leggy" to drop it down lower in the pot which will help to stop the plant from falling over as being to top heavy.

I think they should be ok now as I have been opening the "door" of the greenhouse through the day and zipping it up overnight.

They're getting a little "sunburnt" I've realised the drops of water on the leaves from watering has caused suburn on some leaves :(
