Well, some of my ancestors are listed as Land Owners and some as Sheep Stealers......and I know which side of the family I come from.

So the Land Owners got their land by stealing sheep and selling them on then? :heehee:

Naah, that side of the family stole the land by doing favours for whatever King was around and my side of the family used to steal their sheep, and then sell it back to them as Lamb Chops and woollen gloves:dunno::snork:

@MrsK Yes, I'm in the process of ripping them all out now as I don't want the dying/dead flowers here for Open Day. I tend to rip off the whole plants and then dig the ground over lightly, removing the roots. There will be plenty of seeds left in the ground for next year. I dig a bit more thoroughly around the runner bean area

              Partly done :blue thumb:

@Sheal It's them bl**dy sheep stealers, they've branched out! :heehee:

No, I have no idea. The first year we thought it was the bad winter and this year we think it was all the rain - but that's just a guess. I was chatting to someone who owns a big nursery near us and they said that all their Aquilegias sold out over the bank holiday - which has never happened before. So, I guess, that other people have had the same problem.

here are the only things in my garden that are really doing anything at the mo.

My queen of the night tulips (altho they got battered yesterday in the wind and this is the only one not looking a bit dishevelled)

no idea what this is called but i must get that dandelion out
                [IMG]

                again no idea lol
                [IMG]

My Clematis Early Sensation. I only got it last year so this is the first time it has flowered
Just a shame the Snakeshead fritillary's in the background have finished and now look very messy
                [IMG]

Then here is my new wisteria it's the amethyst falls one and the flowers are ever so dumpy
