Fingers crossed for you but as you say not the end of the world. A box of grass seed isn't too expensive and you might be lucky having discovered your error so quickly. I did a horror a few years ago and sprayed all my Tomatoes, Cucumbers and god knows what else in the greenhouse with a sprayer which had previously had Roundup in it and I obviously, as it turned out hadn't rinsed it carefully enough. By the next morning everything was legging up, yup that fast. Took me a while unlike you GG to realise my mistake. Lost the lot. I now have a sprayer for weed killer and another for everything else!

I know someone that done it with a 30 acre field, be he was runing around like a loose chicken,he thought that his boss mix up spray ready but it wasn't, the boss that left round up in the sprayer, same guy , they used to do liqiud fertilizer, they were mixing up fert with water, but put it into aother tank, so he when out and sprayed 350 acre of wheat with water :snork:

:grphg: GG. We have all had our boo boos and still have from time to time. I hate it when you come home and see all the seedlings laying down because you forgot to water them . Makes the heart race...:phew:.
Let us know how it looks in a few days eh?

A few years ago a golf course near me did the same, the greenkeeper watered 4 greens with a bower of weedkiller instead of fertiliser. Now that is an "oh no!" situation .

There are plenty of other affected areas, but that gives you the idea.

That's very artistic, GG ;) I wonder if watering it with a weak solution of lawn feed will help to speed up recovery? There used to be a 're-greening' product available in Wilkos etc that actually had a bit of green dye in it to help things along.....:ideaIPB:

                      Thanks for the commiserations ...

@noisette47 maybe I'll just go the whole hog and get some astroturf ;)

Not sure if everything that is going to die has died yet, so will wait a little longer, then scuff off the dead stuff, improve the surface soil of the damaged areas and then reseed. Bit of a lazy route but I want it to get half decent looking for the summer.

I did this on a much smaller scale at a previous garden, so at least I have a bit of previous form in patching

                      Cheers
                      GG

Unfortunately not, the weedkiller effect needs to die off first before grass will even think of growing there......but it will eventually come back without a doubt.

Glyphosate become inert as soon as hits the soil so there will be no residual effect, you can reseed asap :blue thumb:
