I have been working really hard on my garden over the last two years and well it's no where near completed but its come along way.

When I bought my house 4 years ago there was one plant in the whole garden that wasn't weeds, the hedge or trees and that was a rosemary. Can you see it under the snow :-)

so then the shed got painted blue after the snow had gone

and then so did everything else and the water feature was cleared and tidied up and new plants where added. The rosemary now lives in a container by the back door. It is happy, it flowered this year for the first time since I moved it and gave it a trim.

the end of the garden use to be a complete waste of space and was covered in bramble and lots of the trees were dead. Oh and the shed got a lovely lonicera sempervirens.

So I have had all the trees removed and a new fence put up. The soil cleared to the ground and some slabs laid for a potting shed

Now I have a new potting shed there. My next door neighbour died and the new owners of the house didn't want the greenhouse anymore so I had that off them and then bought some raised beds

The back fence was painted green and the potting shed was painted blue. The raised beds are now full and the greenhouse is productive.

The next stage is getting the slabs around the raised beds laid properly and gravel put down. I will be planting lots of different plants in the gravel as well. I already have some foxgloves to be planted in front of the fence, a beauty berry bush for the corner and some artichokes.

Also i'm sure you have noticed that my neighbours have removed the boundary hedge. They will be removed the hedge all the way down the right side of my garden and putting a fence up so I will have more painting to do. I plan to have fruit trees running down that fence at a 45 degree angle.

Then while I am doing that, I will be sorting out my lawn which is mainly moss and sorting out the hedge on the left side of the garden as it needs some attention.

Once next door put the new fence up, I will then have my garden path and patio changed.

So still a very long way to go but I will get there eventually. I have M.E. so I'm not well enough to be in the garden a lot of the time so it takes me forever to get anything done especially the fence painting. What does everyone think?

              thank you guys :-)

Slight set back today tho. My neighbours had the trees cut down (the ones on the right on the pics when looking at my sheds) and the tree surgeons broke the two triangle panes of glass in the greenhouse, dented the top of the greenhouse, broke the side of my shed but have nailed that back on (not very well) and ripped all the felting on the roof. :-(

They have denied it all even tho I saw them nailing stuff on the shed and there were loads of twigs and leaves on the roof of my shed.

Luckily I have spare polycarb sheets so have managed to cut out some triangles so that my tomatoes and pepper plants are not ruined.

I cant moan about the dent in the top of the greenhouse because next door did give it to me for free and it only looks weird it doesn't effect how it works.

Thankfully i have a nice neighbour and he is getting my roof re felted on saturday :-)

Its just a right pain and I hope it doesnt chuck it down with rain before then.

Now the trees have gone now my garden is hotter than ever it was 50 degrees in the greenhouse this afternoon so going to have to keep that in mind. My garden is dead south facing so it is scorching on days like today.

That's pretty bad. How on earth would a tree surgeon cause so much damage is beyond me.

I have no idea how they managed it. I had the same trees removed and the shed was in the same place yet the tree surgeons managed to not damage it. Here is a picture if some of the damage.

Not too bad then. Just lay another layer over the top and you should be fine. :dbgrtmb:

Still haven't had my shed roof fixed by next door yet and because of the wind loads of felt has been ripped off *sigh*

but i have had my slabs laid today around the raised beds and gravel put down and I'm well chuffed it looks so much better

Hopefully a dividing fence will be put up in the next two weeks as well

I love how you have made a haven to retreat to behind your shed and greenhouse.

The whole transformation is very inspiring!

What are the dimensions of your garden?

                    thank you M

I have no idea what my garden dimensions are.

the width would roughtly be what the sheds are so they are 6ft so that would be 12ft with the path in between and a slim bit behind each of them.

then length i have no idea at all
