        Definitely Phormium and depending on the overall height I'd guess at tenax. It's taller than cookianum.

          RHS says P. tenax 2.5-4m - that should do it!! Seems to be Hardy to -12C or lower :)

            It's hardy, but a combination of cold and wet kills it off very successfully:sad:

              I'd say it's more likely to be Cookianum than Tenax because of the shape of the leaves. Cookianum leaves fold down more whereas Tenax leaves are more upright and vigorous-looking. (Just my opinion.)
