Oh that's a shame, but I made the same mistake with my cucumbers this year, I should know better after all these years of growing them. I put them outside in direct sunlight and although it didn't kill them all, they lost some leaf and will take a week or two to recover.

It is a problem in this very sunny weather, I have to put shading on my greenhouse during the summer otherwise everything bakes. Above 32 deg C and things stop growing, above 40 deg and things start dying! That's why you see that whitewash stuff on people's greenhouses, I drape bamboo blinds over mine. It is even more difficult with a blow-away plastic greenhouse, being much smaller they heat up very fast.

Even a south facing windowsill can be too hot for seedlings, so maybe you can find somewhere with less heat and sun until the seedlings get established. Once they get established they can still fry.

    Que?

Keep an eye on your letterbox - they are on the way. Not sure if I managed to get them in time for last post collection today, but hopefully......

In the envelope (in separate envelopes), is:

    - French Marigold
    - African Marigold
    - Malva Zebrina
    - Sunflowers (mixed, in fact a complete hotch-potch)
    - Yellow & Red Peppers (thought you might like these for next year, they should keep hopefully; they germinate just fine, but not sure if the fruit will be the same colour etc, hence viability not known)
    - Marmande tomatoes (get 'em in as quick as you can as time is really tight for these now)

I am OK thanks - got so many plants I will be giving them away (again) this year. All I ask is you enjoy your garden and post the odd photo here on GC :blue thumb:
