Never liked the look of it, I've been on hotmail for over a decade. I've got a .com address too, quite proud of that.
I use it for all my personal emails Sheal, have done so for a few years. Yes it's always been good, but compared to what?
Thanks John and Zigs, I'm captive here with Manx Telecom and since my son and daughter have moved abroad it's nigh on impossible for them to send me pictures more than a couple at a time through MT's email setup. I use Google which is why I thought I'd check it out. My other half doesn't like it and uses Yahoo, so I thought I'd get some more opinions.
Not used g mail as such, but I think Virgin works somehow via google mail. I 'm not keen on too much google stuff, they seem to want to tie you up in knots and squeeze every last bit of info and connections out of you. One reason why I wont use Chrome browser, apart from the fact it all seems like gobble de goop, to me.
I've used Yahoo for freegle emails and I find it a bit of a pain, but I suppose it's what you get used to.
I use both gmail and yahoo and whilst both scrape every bit of info they can from you, I find gmail superior.
I use Gmail and have for years.. I find it much more secure and reliable than Yahoo or IE.. I have had my Yahoo accounts hacked and IE is too leaky for my liking..
I have gmail and use it for certain type of email, more sensitive emails, never had a problem, I use the calendar for all my personal data and my phone automatically backs pictures up to my account, you have to adjust privacy settings to "me only", I have a yahoo which only gets rubbish, and my sky account gets the bulk of everything else.
Gmail will be fine for whatever you want to do with it, it's rock solid. I've had numerous clients run in to issues using Yahoo over the years so I would, personally, avoid that option. Lots of other free email options available
Hi, like with any software you have to ask yourself a couple of questions What are you going to use it for? What device(s) are you going to be using it on?Does it need to link to any other software you might be using?
