Have a safe journey Loli, looking forward to seeing you again. Wish some big Eagle would come pick me up and drop me down at Shiney's. When I think I used to love to drive then the roads got too darn busy.

Shiney please take time to breath dear. Woo that's a lovely flower is it aCarnation?

Have a good day all, God bless. :wub2:

Hello everyone, been out walking Amber the world is not as I would like to see it out there it is all cold and unloved. Maybe it will improve later. I hope to get there on
Saturday but am not sure how I shall feel. I may bring Amber as a friend to keep me company in the car. Never mind the rollator I am sure that could travel in the front. I am sure Amber would be perfectly behaved and I shall bring her toileting bags with me. I am sure she will not need to use them. She is so well behaved. I shall have to give matters more consideration. It is Steve's birthday and I am supposed to be treating him to a meal out for his birthday either Saturday or Sunday which isn't fair when his birthday is Thursday. So hold the front page. Sorry!

      Hi Moyra,

Amber will be very welcome :doggieshmooze:.

When Oscar was around he wouldn't let any dogs into his garden and we never found a dog that would be prepared to try when faced with a very large hissing cat.

      So bring her along. :yay:

Morning all, hope you are well.

Brighter start here this morning, and mild with it.

Yesterday, it was suggested that I apply for a permanent position with the company I am temping for, only issue is, it is for the Luton branch, so need to have a think if I want to travel there and back everyday (the branch manager lives in Northampton, and has said we could car share, should I be successful).

I think I have to go for it, nothing to lose. Should I not get the position, I would be able to continue at the Northampton branch as I do now. Wish me luck!

        Have a great day everyone.

Morning Zigs, have a safe journey.
Heavy downpour here last night but the sun is out this morning and everything smells fresh,

            Aloha everyone,

Good luck Gdnam, :blue thumb: I suppose it's an easy journey if there's no problems on the M1. :)

Another sunny morning today. I hope it remains dry this afternoon as we're picking up the marquee and erecting it this afternoon. Collected some of the tables yesterday and will collect more tonight. The others, and the chairs, will be delivered on Friday morning.

Mrs Shiney has been working hard at getting the carport clear and I've been filling it up with stuff as I get it delivered. :heehee: We've been pampering our hanging baskets in the greenhouse to bring them on more and they're looking very good. I've got them sitting on containers on the patio as it makes it a lot easier to water them. Will hang them on Friday.

I've been pruning a large lilac tree to get all the dead flowers off but not quite finished yet - after two hours of working at it. :phew:

Some plants have done very poorly this year and others have grown tremendously.

            Have good journey, Zigs :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

It'll be lovely to see you again Moyra and a real treat to meet Amber:doggieshmooze:...

Zigs...Take it easy on the drive East:blue thumb:

Shiney...Nearly there:phew: hope both Hannah and Yourself are OK and not worn to a frazzle:blue thumb:

Well we finally got parked up on site late afternoon and as usual there had to be a drama:rolleyespink:..jogging along nicely when 6 miles from out destination we got a puncture,(nearside front) the lady on the sat nav never said that would happen:doh:....it had to be on a very busy road:rolleyespink:the biggest problem was controlling two excited dogs who thought we were 'there'....I was a nervous wreck as we had to get the dogs out of the car because the spare wheel had to be got at....Annyway soon changed and back on the last bit of the journey:blue thumb:...We arrived to beautiful warm sunshine:yahoo:...It's slightly overcast here but nice and warm this morning and the dogs have got a cock Pheasant and ducks for company:blue thumb:

Waves to all, have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

              Hi Loli,

This is the coldest day we've had for a week!

I'm sure the dogs are going to enjoy their holiday. :)

Good Morning, not feeling so good this morning. hopefully will improve as the day goes on.
Have hung some washing out and walked Amber but not a lot else.

Glad you got down here ok Loli apart from the puncture. you could have done without that.

Zigs safe journey. You are all travelling so far and here am I fretting about a mere 30 miles if that.

Steve, go for that job at least you will know you have a definite wage coming in.

Shiney do take care and don't overdo things please.

Have a good day all, God bless.:wub2:

                Aloha everyone,

                Moyra, we got it here!

We had monsoon weather at 1.45 a.m. so I'll now have to go out with a broom and empty the rainwater out of the roof of the marquee. Our hanging baskets that were looking really good are now battered and bedraggled but I think they will recover OK, and I hope there's not too much damage to the garden plants.

I've now started on the little jobs for the weekend such as counting out the floats for all the different stalls etc. and recording them. Organisation and paperwork is necessary in order to make things run smoothly. Even to having lots of plastic money bags for bagging up a couple of thousand pounds worth of coins!

I'll get some last minute mowing done today and tomorrow - if the ground is dry enough and try and trim all the lawn edges late afternoon on Friday (a couple of hour's work). All the tables (16 of them) will need to be set up on Friday and the long task of putting the plants out on the sales tables and within easy reach of them will have to be done then. We have a lot of boxes and bags for people to take their plants in but it's never enough.

I expect I'll be working until two or three in the morning on Saturday getting the last things done - have to pick up the tea urns, jugs, teapots, trays etc. after midnight as there's an event on at the village hall until then.

"There's places to go, people to see. We've got a lot of living to do!"

                Have a great day

                Aloha!

Morning to Gdnam, Moyra, Shiney and everyone.
The rain came down in bucket loads here as well, in-fact it still is and Bailey will get to try out his new coat this morning to keep him dry.
Won,t be much happening in the garden here today so I bet Mrs LWW finds me something to do to keep me out of mischief;)
