    I've been slowly emptying the Green House of plants so I can make room for the Tomatoes. The local Gardening Club came this evening to collect boxes and trays of plants for their annual sale, and I've been labeling up plants for Shiney's Open Day after a mug of tea when getting home.:coffee: But tonight I changed into mucky clothes, filled the Pressure Spray with a solution of Jeyes Fluid and sprayed the buckets the Toms were going in. Then when they were dry I filled all 15 buckets with compost [used 250 litres:dunno::hate-shocked::snork:] and planted 3 plants each of Rosada, Alicante, Ailsa Craig, Jean Flamme, and Shirley and tied them to canes. After that it was a sit by the pond with another :coffee: and then upstairs for a Shower to get rid of all the muck!!
    While I was having that :coffee:by the pond I checked around to make sure that my wading around in the pond the other day to take out dead stems and rubbish had worked...it's looking pretty good I must admit. I use my Chest Waders for fishing but they really come in handy when sorting out the pond!!:heehee:

    Job done.....Hanging up to dry.:snork:

          Trouble with them is that they are more likely to eat the lot, however many you grow, rather than just eating the spares that you don't need ...

            Well, Mrs C and I went into the garden and I got my chopper out..........

            :nonofinger: Now, behave you lot! You know I was referring to my anvil loppers :biggrin:

            I cut both lavatera back, one of which quite severely as it had simply gotten out of hand, trimmed a wee bit, then dug over the back border that they live in as the ground was quite compacted and wet; I have turned it over quite roughly at the moment, just to let it dry a bit as much as anything, so will return to it properly when I go to plant it up.

            I then reassembled what was the strawberry tree, and made it into a tree of trailing petunias; then I moved some begonias into two trough planters for our outhouse roof (hope they take off a bit now they are planted up, as they are still quite small), then I had no choice but to water stuff despite it still being quite bright as there was quite a bit that was thirsty;

            [IMG]

            And whilst passing me out some petunias for the petunia tree, Mrs C discovered a visitor hiding in the greenhouse:

                    Hi Jenny :) - Mrs C said he was quite a big frog; No idea where he is living, but he must have snuck in under the greenhouse frame at the back corner. He is welcome though - no harm in a frog as far as I am aware.

                      Dug out my old buddleia that sadly didn't seem to have made it, and replaced it with a new, 2' tall one :) cleared a load of phlox & a huge foxglove that had sprung up while we were away for the week.

                      Discovered one of the established wisteria is REALLY struggling. It started budding but the few leaves that started unfurling look to be rotted? It's planted against the house wall and a good 3' off the ground due to that part of the house not being on the same level as the older bit. Any ideas/theories very welcome!

                        Planted Rose 'Rambling Rector' after sorting some growing supports .

                        Removed the poppies that had been flattened by the torrential rains :frown: , and were damaging the plants around them ( Evening Primroses have suffered badly :frown: ). Filled the space left with Sunflowers, the Lysimachia from Shineys, and Gallardia grown from seed last year.

                        Potted up seedlings, went on weed, slug and snail patrol, have loads to do still.

                        Hoping for a dryish day tomorrow, the odd shower will not be too unwelcome as I intend to try and get some more plants in the ground.

                              Shush! @shiney doesn't know how much I nicked :heehee:

                              I think I did about 20 pots, and there would be 15-20 to a pot, so 3-400 - plus about 10 pots or so that @Lolimac did for me - thanks Loli :imphrt:

                              Run out of Clonex now ... ordered a big pot [300ml] (6x as much [little pot is 50ml], but only costs 2x as much, and previously I have always used at least two pots in a season ...)
