Or March (early sowings), April (second sowings, pricking out), May (last sowings, pricking out, potting up and planting out), June (last plantings out and watering in). With 2 growboxes with lights and propagators (one indoors, the other in a greenhouse), it's a bit difficult to get somebody to give them the high level of care they require (just our hens and greenhouses are more than enough for most0.

July - free! 2 whole weeks before the school hols to get away for a week.

August Can't go away when everything is cropping like crazy + there's the village show and stuff requiring daily TLC.

September - school hols finished, time for another break or two.

October - Another chance for a quick break in between apple pressing/other preserving sessions. But will there be a frost whilst we're away? Many a time we've returned from an October holiday to find our rooms full of the pumpkins, marrows, squashes, etc. that we picked the day before leaving because of the chance of frosts whilst we were away.
