My small early retirement pension is less than a quarter of our combined incomes when we were both working, but we manage OK and don't need any work whatsoever as we make the most of things, despite not being entitled a single penny in benefits.

The only expenses we're probably going to have to raise a few quid for is our daughter's Uni field trips to Costa Rica & Tanzania, plus any expenses for a year's work placement in Australia, plus the cost of us visiting. Ouch.

 

sound like you may need a job to fund all that

 

I hope not, I've been working out how many strawberry runners I need to peg down and car boot to pay for those trips.

 

Whats one of them then?
