my raddish

    our 3rd sowing (first batch outdoor) are at about that stage after a week - s it the variety we us french breakfast 2 and the go great guns

    These are french breakfast
    ther a bit bigger now.think I used spent soil so not alot of nutrients.
    Will I see the raddish on the surface when ready?

    the radish will be shown but cover the surface of them with soil so they dont go woody :hapydancsmil:

    my radish are all tops and no bottom. huge tops in fact. i,m going to bin them and try again. any idea why anyone.

    Probably because there is not enough depth in the pot for them.

    Same here no roots.might try a deeper container.thought 4 inch deep would be enough

    i have mine in the plot so the can grow quite a bit. I normally grow them in the pots i get from florists that they keep the cut flowers in. The tall ones. They grow really well in there. Just add drainage holes and your away.

    we grow ours in a plastic trough about 7 inch deep and they grow really well - ill take a photo in a bit when I go pull some for tea
