A day of rest is always good :) we've lit the log burner the last two days, isn't bad considering it's nearly June ;)

So you mean I only needed to plant 48.75 a year, rather than all at once? :wallbanging: :)

Did not get outside, far too wet and windy for me.

Have some potting up to do, so will get to that today after work (at least I can stay dry in the shed).

I've still been clearing up from the weekend! All we have to do is wait a few months for the lawn to recover

You need to put some drainage into your lawn, it was really soggy on Saturday and my Hunters got wet :heehee:

I have got SO much to do, but the weather is thwarting me! :gaah:

I want to crack on with shaping the grass, making the new borders, then planting stuff out, but everything is soaking wet after the near on 24-hours of rain yesterday. Worse still, there is so many plants in the greenhouse that I cannot work in there to be potting stuff on :gaah:

Good morning I am gardening in the rain,I just cannot let the constant rain stop me,so I have just come in for a light refreshment and then I am back into the garden attending to my Roses and wearing my Rose tinted glasses:heehee:

I am equally frustrated. I brought back ( a gift from Armandii to Eve / LIF) a clump of Delphinium seedlings and a clump of Nicotiana Sylvestris) and I want a dry hour to prick them out carefully. I've got a plastic basket, 2 x 12 pots all ready to put in. I'll look after them until Eve can pick them up en route back to Dover and then France,

Me too yesterday - I got wet! I was hacking into the Lilac now that it's over. I want to lower it and take a large section out of the centre to allow it to grow in (hopefully) instead of up and out. Whilst doing that I had to keep an eye on the pizza dough in the greenhouse (it was still over 22°c in there) to make sure that it wasn't drying out.

Not only that actually - the tomato sauce was on the woodburner becoming rich and lovely, so I had to keep an eye on the sauce and the burner too.
