Just took a cutting, I'd please?

Hi all.
I've just took a cutting of this, dipped it in hormone rooting powder and banged it in a pot.
I'm thinking euphorbia, but I'm not sure?

The plant was mahoosive, very good looking structurally so .I ahem. Accidentally snapped a bit off!

If me I would strip more leafs off and plant in a deeper pot , careful of the white ooze especially on your face , and dip in hormone powder or ciggy ash will help it stop bleeding

and no plastic bag it makes them sweat and the leaves will fall off, shady part of the garden is ideal or tucked out the way in shadey part of the greenhouse.

Just took about 1/2 of the leaves off, but I haven't a bigger pot. It's on the decking, near the house in a shady position :-)

 

I'm thinking it'll take about 3 weeks to a month to root, is that right?

 

I find cuttings root better round the rim, you can usually get up to 12, that allows for a few failure.

 

Did it ooze white sap, al n? It looks sooo like a bit of Nerium oleander

 

It did noisette, yes.

 

That's Nerium oleander, it does look very similar

 

In fact it looks identical! So could very well be. Very similar to spurge tho.

 

You were right first time, al n! Oleander oozes clear sap. I wonder if yours is E. mellifera?

 

I haven't a clue. I'll do a google and compare.
