    Our local Aldi store has slim-line 100 litre water butt & stand sets reduced to £11.99

    Don't know if this offer is nation-wide though.

      I saw this posted on HotUKDeals but haven't seen any locally, so they're probably just in those stores with some old stock left.

      I was only posting for the benefit of others who want such stuff, as approx. 200L sturdy barrels can be picked up on ebay for between £5 and £10.

      The 'flat top' barrels are the strongest, as the 'rounded tops' are weaker and you might get a nasty crack in your butt if emptying a heavy water container into them. Both will require a jigsaw to remove the top.
