Yes it is, I don't get any at all in my garden so it was lovely to see this today. Sorry about the quality, hyper dog wanted to go fishin!

              Lovely photos, everyone.

Yesterday we were out walking in the countryside and saw a butterfly we've never seen before. I couldn't take a photo because it didn't keep still long enough.

It was no more than half an inch with its wings spread and was fluttering along the footpath and landing, very briefly, every yard or so. When it had its wings closed it was a brownish grey colour and with them open it had one orange wing and one grey wing!

              Any ideas?

                  No. There were no eyes.

Also a no (but it is much nearer). It didn't seem to have what looks like four wing sections and was much rounder. With the wings closed it didn't have a, sort of, triangular section. It was much more semicircular with the wings curving upwards and round towards the head.

The thrush a moment ago, gathering a beak full for the brood. Enjoying the peace and quiet and had the garden to itself,
