Have been all day drinking lots of water, had a couple of hours sleep earlier and feel much better now. A good nights sleep will see me chipper again, especially as it's raining again, so should make for a more comfortable night.

Well, I started on the big list of things to do but only got the non-gardening things done . I did the phone calls and shopping and managed to fit in most of the cuppas :heehee:. All the outside jobs have been shelved until it's cooler :phew:

The only additional thing that I did was to wander up the road to a house that's having building work done. Mrs Shiney spotted some stuff in their skip that might be of interest. I came back with some largish sheets of marine ply (asked the builders for it) that I'll keep for putting down if it rains on Open Day. We have large areas of lawn that are completely dead from the high footfall around the plant sales area!

Am I going to do any of the work on my list, today? No! :nonofinger: I'm out this afternoon and the only thing I might do, to do with gardening, is to despatch any more rabbits that come within range. They've eaten more than the allowed amount of our veggie plants! It's the first time in years that I've had to take an aggressive stance on the matter. Rabbit pie anyone?

Not in the best moods as it has rained, correction monsooned again over night. Large areas of my herbaceous borders are now horizontal (ok yes I should have staked more things but hate that job) having grown far too big. My late flowering Rhododendrons have been ruined, their flowers bruised with the heavy rain and even The Meconopsis are struggling to keep up a good show. Jobs today are dead heading the Rhododendrons and staking huge areas of herbaceous. Yup "shutting stable door....." etc. I will have to do better on the staking front next season. Sounds like my school reports, "could do better":)

I'm not sure whether to temporise or prevaricate. I understand they're both legal now! :heehee:

About half of my Garlic has got rust quite badly so I guess Im lifting that later to try to limit how much of the rest of the crop gets infected. First time thats appeared in my garden, must be the warm damp winter I guess.

Finished weeding the gravel drive, tidied up both rhododendrons and pulled out all the Lily Of The Valley that was inbetween them. I've pulled it all out, it's just leaves with snail holes in. I'll try and dig out all the roots tomorrow :)

Finally got round to removing the trellis the wisteria came with in its pot and training it into my cog trellis. Also fed some of the pots with tomato feed
