Missed the Red Kite when it took the latest mouse caught in my poly tunnels, but I knew it had been where I left it for them:

We are now having a problem with crows in the garden .

We've had them around for a few years and don't mind them being here as they're quite happy to pick up seed, alongside the pheasants) that has dropped from the feeders. The problem has only occurred in the last couple of weeks and I think it's only one of them that's causing it.

He's been yelling at and attacking his reflection in the doors and windows. This leaves a mess all over the glass (he appears to be spitting on it) and loads of pooh beneath - and when I say 'loads' I mean exactly that! Up to now he's restricted it to the summerhouse but has now started on the house. Having a large bird bashing loudly on your windows at 4 a.m. is no joke! :hate-shocked:

Is this just a short phase or is it likely to be prolonged? I don't really want to resort to shooting him but this can't be allowed to continue much longer. Are there any other solutions?

I can hire out my cats to you for a very reasonable rate :heehee:

We have had a crow that comes around every spring, and brings the odd lady friend or two, but he never ventures into the garden as such, he prefers to tease the Cats from the safety of the TV aerial.

Perhaps yours is just being territorial, and thinks his reflection is a competing male.
