Saw this on another site, not sure how they would stand up to a lot of rain.
[IMG] you make a weak batch of cement, more like batter or water than cement. Dunk the cloth in, hang it in the sun to dry and paint it when it's solid.

Well I thought they were attractive as you could create your own unique design, just don`t try it with the best tablecloth/bed linen. I am not responsible...:nonofinger:

Gotta be black for our @al n ..... Sounds very interesting Pam. Cover buckets for daffs and tulips, square boxes and I love that tall one for a weeping willow?

If I have a go, will have to buy some of that ready mixed/made stuff, I would poke a couple of holes in base as it`s drying for drainage.

I like the idea, but not sure how long they would last, as I would imagine that the chemicals in the cement would rot the material. Anyone trying this, should wear gloves, as cement can burn.

You could also add a cement plasticiser which would make them a bit more waterproof, great idea!!

I've been thinking of making a cement bird bath using molds similar to this. Do you think that the chemicals making the cement waterproof would be bad for the birds?
