      1.42 p.m. the thermometer in the main garden has just reached 85.3F (29.6C) :phew:.

      The front garden is 82F (27.8C) but the bottom half of the back garden is 77F (25C).

      For those of you that don't know my garden, the main garden (about a quarter of an acre) is completely surround by trees, hedges and buildings and has its own micro climate. The rear of the back garden gets cooling winds across the fields.

      The tree covered area in-between those two still gets some of the cooling wind and is in complete shade - and the temperature is 76.1F (24.5C) but feels much cooler. I've left that area for me to work on (only a little bit) this afternoon.

            Has clouded over now, but very hot and very muggy, last time I looked it was 29C on the decking, 40C in the shed, and I was going to go and start the Primroses, think I will wait until it cools down a tad...... :phew: :SUNsmile:

                    Been warm, sunny and pleasant all day - that was, until about an hour ago and it is now overcast and opprrssively muggy.

                    It was too warm for me overnight last night, so I hardly slept - hope tonight cools quickly so I can sleep as I've got a 16-hour shift tomorrow
