We lost because we weren't good enough.
Despite all the hype, and other cr*p built up in the press, the England squad is average at best and can't compete with the Big Boys.

The best attacking team in the world is still not very good if they can't defend ;)

England played really well last night :dbgrtmb: The last time I said that , I was 15 in 1966 !
Our next match against Uruguay on Thursday should be a cracker as both teams must win to have a chance of progressing out of the group . We will be watching it in Ibiza later this week , with a large glass or two or three of chilled San Miguel !
At least the world cup keeps bloomin' Wimbledon off the TV a bit !

Football is alternated between B.B.C.1 and I.T.V.1, tennis is on B.B.C.2, when Wimbledon starts the football will be slowing down in matches per day, as the groups get decided. So whatever it`s all balls.

For me that sums up England football to the tee.
Who cares if you play well, its if you score goals that matters, and how often have I heard the old, "we played well, but,......."phrase.

Wise owl, no prob. That's half the fun of sport. The debate and recrimination that follows a loss :rolleyespink:

IMO England are average. We don't have one star player. Everyone just average
Robben, RVP, messi etc. we don't have one player who can come close.

Rooney who is supposed to be our best player is woefully out of form and looks totally out of sorts. Well if you can't motivate yourself for the World Cup........
