    Hey all,

3 days ago I used some evergreen extreme green in the lawn. Having used it previously with no issues I had no worries.

However the next morning some areas of the lawn had turned brown. I gave the lawn a good water that night, as well as last night in the hope it would dilute what ever was causing it.

The brown areas feel soft, look I g at the photos do you think it will sort itself out, or should I prepare myself for a raking session and buy some seed.

The only thing I did differently this time was apply the extreme green the same day I cut it.

    Thanks in advance

Certainly looks like either too much in one spot, as it appears in lines, or too soon after cut, I used Verdone plus last week, but it says on bottle wait three days after cutting, does it say anything on the label.
A bit of raking will get that out and it should fill in itself quite nicely.

Kristen...... if it's a granular treatment it needs to be watered in before mowing. I certainly wouldn't mow before doing this and I stick to the regulation of not mowing, three days before or after - after watering.

Adamsh.....most weed/feed products stipulate not to mow three days before or after the treatment and also not to treat during drought as it will burn the grass. When was the last time you had rain?

I think you were thinking of a rush-mat ... maybe in front of a raging fire for some extra indignation!

Thanks for replies all, I guess I won t be making that mistake again.

As it was just a feed product I may have had a lucky escape as only small(ish) sections of the lawn are showing issues.

Hopefully it will recover on its own, I gave it a light rake today and the damaged areas seem to still have strong roots which I guess is a good sign.
