      • Watering - everything in the ground is so dry. So I gave each Camellia a watering can full as they can get too dry to form next year's flower buds if they are starved of moisture.
      • Dead heading roses and other spent stems.
      • Dug out a mature Camellia that is no longer fit for purpose - few blooms, too large and not my choice ( it was here when we came). Gone off to the tip I'm afraid. No room for poor performers - space is too precious.
      • and potted up these 10 Erysimums ready for next Spring

Well, the old shed is gone:

          2014-06-21 11.03.26.jpg
Following which I jiggled some of the slabs around to level some up and to get the oddball smaller ones into a position where they will be under the shed - I will level the ones that will be at the side of the shed in the coming weeks.

Frame constructed, with 100mm lap joints on the long runs (set to opposing ends for strength), then all ends and noggins with 100mm screws, DPC wrapped and stapled to they undersides, and then the levelling up started; you can see on the front edge the DPC that will wrap over the end of the flooring sheets once they go down.

          2014-06-21 18.59.16.jpg

Just before Bacardi o'clock, we couldn't resist trying one of the flooring sheets to see if we had measured and cut it correctly - theory being that we could drown our sorrows if it had gone wrong

Tomorrow, hopefully the base will get finished, and we might even get the thing erected........

Do you manage [temperature] with only one vent open, and that only "afar", when the sun is belting down?

This time of the year I need everything thrown-open to keep temperature under control (although looks like you have some blinds or somesuch?

That was this morning - all four vents and doors open by this afternoon, and the floor given a good soaking; the blinds is actually reflective bubble wrap that is usually used as insulation, to reflect light back into the greenhouse.

Yooo hoooo @fat controller . Hope it's all going well. Johnny Walker on R 2 is telling us all about the O2 Eagles concert on Friday - he was there too.
Hope you are listening and whistling as you work,

Awwww, I didn't have the radio on today (got fed up of tripping over the power cable as we moved the extension lead around for the drill); I hope he enjoyed the evening as much as we did - probably the second best night of my life to be honest. :dbgrtmb:

                      Today's update:

Base levelled, flooring screwed down and ends wrapped in DPC, and ready for the shed:

                      2014-06-22 11.30.17-1.jpg

Then, following the instructions, we assembled the base rails onto the floor, and then moved on to make the roof:

                      2014-06-22 17.12.00.jpg
We quit at this point, not least because we were both burnt to a cinder (my neck and shoulders are so bad, I am contemplating ringing PowerGen to see if they want to harvest some of the heat coming off me to run a turbine!); that, and the fact that my back and joints were packing in on me, and that dinner and Bacardi beckoned.

Before settling for the evening though, I popped the sprinkler on and took a photo of this wee fella that I hope @Jenny namaste will recognise.....
