Why do you want evergreen ?

I have lots more to come as I have over a 100 :rolleyespink: its better to choose what flowers that you like , the evergreen depending on the winter do get damaged and look tatty come the spring , and going into winter they all have a hair cut to tidy them up, I prefer the ones that die right back into the soil.

        thank you

        Spruce

A few more things in flower around my garden right now, nearly all of which are self-seeded. Isn't it great when nature does the work for you? :)

Petunias brought home by Mrs Trunky, don't know the variety, but the lobelia in the pot with the box behind it just appeared by itself so I let it be.

                001.JPG

Hollyhocks. At the end of summer I simply scatter the seeds around and they come back every year.

                004.JPG

                006.JPG

Lavender growing near the corner of the greenhouse. Just a couple of seedlings which appeared there a couple of years ago, I left them to it and they've thrived.

                007.JPG

Patch of foxgloves. Again, all from seed scattered around from last summer's plants.

                010.JPG

Had them for a few years now, but can't remember what these are. :doh:Can somebody remind me please? Whatever they are, loads of seedlings appeared, scattered randomly around the herbaceous bed last autumn. So I lifted a few and planted them in one clump to give more impact.

Do you know which one Joolz? I struggle to find ones that are properly red (as yours is, in the photo at least, maybe not that strong a red in-the-flesh?)

:ideaIPB: Just remembered what the mystery plant in my previous post is. It's Teucrium hircanicum 'Paradise Delight' (common name Caucasian Germander).

Yes, but I let a few of them grow as I quite like them.

Does it have big lower leaves?

Why can't I ever get these to grow?

I was waiting for someone to answer that - choice!

NO joolz. I don't call it a weed - I think it's a delightful little thing and the bees adore it. You have Linaria pupurea and Linaria Canon Went ( the pink form),
and I love your Clematis Sieboldii...:wub2: - it must be in a very warm and sheltered spot?
