@shiney , you can leave the alcohol out of a 'toddy'

    1 tsp of Honey
    juice of 1 lemon
    1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger
    1 crushed paracetamol
    1/2 pint of warmed lemonade

mix all together in the lemonade, heat gently in the microwave ( a low setting for just a minute and a half) let steep for a minute or two, stir well, drink, then go to bed.

Ahh, it's the Xenforo software that's banning it, not our swear filter. Don't know why (trademark reasons? :dunno:) and there's nothing I can do about it :)

Thanks Steve, I'm already using honey and lemon in hot water (I try to keep off the paracetomol and only use it if I have to ). The other bits are not for me :noidea: - don't drink sweetened or fizzy drinks and don't have a microwave :snork:.

Mrs Shiney has also made me a remedy. :blue thumb:

Good morning everyone, so sorry my medication is offending the system. With all the will in the world I hope to be off it shortly. I was 1 every 8 hours yesterday and last night I went 10 hours but feeling rough because of it. No wonder these junkies find it so hard to kick their habit this is exactly the same. My own doctor is no longer prescribing them but then he has shelved all us patients he put on them onto a younger doctor to sort out. Only a week before when I saw him he was offering me morphine, his idea of a sick joke I suspect. Anyway folks I am getting there and very determined to see the back of the them.

Steve, glad you had a good week and now can take a rest.

Shiney so sorry you are not up to par today, do look after yourself.

LIF, hope your dad will soon be on the mend.

Loli , do send down some rain, they keep promising it but it seems to skirt around us. Maybe we might get this afternoons thunderstorms as promised.

Zigs, how long before you can get to work on this place, will it be weeks before the birds fledge?

WOO glad you are getting some of your bouncibility back, do take care.

Have a lovely day all, God bless. :wub2:

              Aloha everyone,

Woo, Thanks for your good wishes :blue thumb:

Zigs, are your sea sickness tablets vegetarian or pescatorian? :heehee: Have a good fishing trip :dbgrtmb:

My cold has gone to my chest, as usual, and I'm not feeling too good. A nice hot shower should help and then I've got to drive up to Lincolnshire for the match :hate-shocked:. Must remember to take my thinking head with me! :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

                    Good morning everyone,

Woo...Go easy doing those fence panels,it does make the job easier with those concrete posts though doesn't it but it's still a big job:phew:.....

Shiney....Hope you feel better soon, these rotten colds seem to be doing the rounds again:rolleyespink: good luck with match and take it steady..Oooh and could you drop some of your sunshine off when you come up this way please:thumbsup:

Zig....Have a great trip:fishing: we want pics of all the fish you catch as proof of size...I know what these fishermen are like for exaggerating ...

It's torrential rain here this morning and to be honest it's wearing very thin , it might have been a little more bearable if it was warm with it but 11 degrees doesn't tempt me to cast a clout :rolleyespink:...
Looks like I'll be in the GH again tormenting my tomatoes:heehee:

Take it easy everyone and enjoy your day, take care:SUNsmile:

                        Morning all

Have a fun day fishing Zigs

Take care putting those fence panels up Woo. Are you doing it by yourself?

Good luck at the match, Shiney. Hope your cold doesn't hold you back.

Hope your rain eases off Loli and your poor tomatoes get some peace :snork:

Not raining here at the moment, though it was forecast, so I'll get a couple of hours tidying up dad's garden hopefully. Was meant to do it yesterday but had a dodgy chinese takeaway on Friday night and hardly left the house yesterday morning. Luckily felt better by the afternoon and could go visit my dad. My poor sister wasn't so lucky and is still suffering this morning. Dad is getting frustrated as he'd got it into his head he would be getting home on Monday but it will be another couple of weeks yet. Which is good, as he's not 100% steady on his feet yet and I'm so pleased that the hospital he's in doesn't just send people home before making sure that they can cope with day to day living, like some places do. Can't praise the staff at this hospital enough, they are fabulous.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
