So much for Fort Knox Loli! :doh:Perhaps it would be best to take everything away apart from the rings at the base....... the slugs will probably sprout wings then! :th scifD36:

Dug up some of the King Edwards today, looking good. I'll get some pics tomorrow. Is this early for maincrop potatoes? They were halfway between a golfball and a tennis ball...let's say they were cricket ball or snooker ball sized.

I'll be honest, I'm only semi conversant with sport ball denominations. :th scifD36:

I harvest Main Crop "for the table" because we have enough to then also have "plenty to store" ... so up to you :) Spuds are cheap to buy, in Winter, particularly from Farm Shop in large sacks. They are hard to store (mine sprout by around XMas), so better to let the farmer store them for you in cool store - unless provenance is why you are growing.

They are Rosella Jenny. Very productive too, those in the photo are today's crop from just two plants in the greenhouse.
They're not as sweet as some other cherry varieties, a bit more tangy in flavour, but very pleasant none the less. They have a good firm texture too, not as 'squishy' as other varieties.
