Thanks Jenny, had to nurse the Nicotiana they were attacked with whitefly - pleased to say they have recovered thank goodness as someone gave me a packet of seeds to grow for them!

I've caught up with my Potting On this weekend too ... but done none of the Planting Out, although the nice damp soil will be perfect for that for the next few days :)

Got to sort the chain on the mower too, as have not mowed the grass this weekend 'coz it bust the link-thingie. Hopefully it was just rusty or somesuch, rather than out-of-alignment and going to bust the replacement link too ...

Still needs to be properly screwed to its base, then the base edge ran round with high grade silicone to doubly make sure there are no leaks, then round the outer edge of the base with another covering of DPC, then give it the full leak test and look for any drip points inside (basically shower it relentlessly with the hose if the weather doesn't oblige, and look for any ingress on the inside, then seal up with the silicone); once that is all done, I need to put a top on the set of drawers that is going in there (pinched from Little C's old bed), and then I can fill it all up.

Toying with the idea of a wee ramp for the sake of getting stuff in and out.......

Risk of nadgering the sill if you don't??

I need to do that for my greenhouse, 'coz the double sliding door rail, in the sill, is prone to getting nadgered otherwise ...

Aye, that was part of the thinking - just not sure whether to make it from wood or ally

Mine will be in concrete!! as I don't want it moving when I wheel something heavy over the lip.

You could perhaps have a ramp that has a cut-out for the sill? then just "place" that over the sill when you want to protect it - although that wouldn't be in-place for day-to-day activity I suppose ...

Assuming your doors are hinged, rather than sliding, you probably have a less fragile sill than my greenhouse "channel" for the sliding doors
