The gel starts to dry out, and getting the plants out involves removing them from the gel (yanking them out is pretty much all it takes, as the gel "yields" of course, but you might choose to wash the gel off ...)

They are 80p-ish each, and I reckon you'd get 5 cuttings in each pot.

If I get 3 x Salvia Dyson's Crimson, 3 x Salvia Dyson's Joy and 3 x Salvia "Piccasso" out of those 3 pots I shall be more than happy,

        Thanks Jenny :)

At least I now know that its not coming from the roof - its running down the walls and then in through the frame I think. More sealant needed....

Just taken the north facing hanging basket down and tucked it under the window boxes out of the way.. The weather for the next couple of days gives Northerly winds with rain. It would shred those petunias,

Been blowing a northerly gale here today.

The wind was actually strong enough to bring down a decent sized willow tree at work today, which we had to set about cutting up and clearing straight away, as it had fallen right across a driveway.

An inspection of the garden at home this evening revealed a bit of damage. A huge sunflower, taller than me, which had just begun flowering was snapped off at the base and about 50 small apples littered the ground under the old tree at the bottom of the garden.

Several tall flowers such as foxgloves, hollyhocks and teasels were all leaning at various angles, so a bit of emergency staking and tying, or in some cases, complete removal, was required.

More leak detection here - I now know that it is running into the door channel, and then seeping through a joint in the frame (the base rail isn't single runs, and each side consists of three pieces that sort of overlap into each other); so, I need a couple of scorchio days to dry everything back out again, and then I need to get busy with the silicone once more.
