I do so hope you are right Sheal. If not, then something is disturbingly wrong I think,

Not many young ones in the garden this year, second Sparrow brood, no Robins, Dunnocks or Finches!
        Time for some preening.

Got to get this balancing right.
        Now time for a rest.

Second Blackie brood again but only one comes at a time.

Just caught a young Siskin on a very brief visit and got the focusing wrong, hence the poor shot.

          Fab shots, strongy :blue thumb:

We're still being inundated with butterflies. They're crowding the patio and the bonariensis (tried to post a photo but having problems at the moment) but still not going on the Buddleia!

Finally lucky enough to have one land right in front of me when I had a camera in my hands! Hornet Mimic Hoverfly Volucella zonaria and time for 3 shots before it buzzed off.

Oh dear! Blue pooh on patio from now on.

We're still swarming with butterflies and they've, only today, started on the Buddleia. I was having tea under our pergola this morning and was surround with loads of bees and hoverflies going backwards and forwards amongst all the flowers on the hostas. :blue thumb:

Plenty of insect life buzzing around in the garden here today.

Taking photos of some Gazanias growing in a pot, I caught two hoverflies in this picture by complete chance. Didn't even realise they were there until I loaded the photos!

The fennel flowers were attracting plenty of interest too.
