Not stopped raining all ruddy day - got drenched while I was walking the dogs, which I didn't mind cos it was cooling (I am trying to get fit so wearing trackies and fast walking). Did have to put everything in the wash when I got home, especially since my friend's little dog always jumps up on my trousers.

I had to tie around my Acanthus the Thursday morning after the wind & rain Longk, so it hasn't suffered this time... Thankfully as there are so many huge flower heads on it..

Been thundering all night here and still rumbling around now.. It was pretty violent around 12.30 - 1.30 am and then again around 3am..
Looking in a bucket outside that was empty last night there is now about 2" of water in it... Some of the rain very heavy at times..

It was around the Isle of Man when I looked, and over Steve's way, not the big storms we've been getting though :)

The thunderstorm expected yesterday didn't materialise Zigs and our weather's forecast to be dry again for this coming week. I think compared to the rest of the country this has been one of the driest areas this spring and summer with hardly any rain since the beginning of April, very unusual for the island.

I didn't study the above, if it's coming I'd rather not know until it gets here, I don't like thunderstorms having had three houses in the past struck by lightning! :sofa:

Saturday went to bed about midnight, lay there awaiting all these horrendus storms, Nothing...a few flashes of sheet lightning miles away, shut all the curtains just in case not very fond of thunder reminds me to much of bombs.
Musta dropped off, the ground was wet so I suppose it rained not much tho still have to water my beans, Have a heavy crop Husband is slicing them I am salting them down purchased a nifty gadget gets the job done to perfection.

                    Spectaclier pics @Jungle Jane :)

Talking of bombs Rosie, I fell asleep on a hot summers night back in the 80's, my bedroom faced towards London. Woke up to see all these flashes on the horizon & thought London was getting nuked :yikes:

I was outside in a panic before I realised it was only lightning :phew:
