Its a bit wild

    Was a muddy hole for years getting worse by the year till last year a big fox emerged from the undergrowth! place was covered in broom it had to be cleared out this is what we have a year later

    There is a spring or just water seepage at the far end, the pond has a pipe to let water away
    as overflow

          Cheers for the replies was a nice day so took a few pics
          the oval plant has gone rampant it all started with one plant seems the deeper it goes the bigger the leavs get

          dug this channel last year looking for water was a good summer

          this would really challenge my spelling,planted last year came up nice then got hit with something, frost? all the leaves went brown and crispy seems to have recovered but has flowered?

              Gunnera..It'l soon be as tall as mine(approx 8ft at moment) :heehee: we've had frost damage too..

                difference a couple of weeks makes its overgrown now its a hole but bigger than a rabbits

                gained some bluebells from somewhere wonder if there connected

                planted some bulrush should be interesting the stuff is rampant, seem to attract dragonfly's there cool close up

                            Weather has been so good things have been drying up including the pond

                            its fed by seepage from this bit of ground,the channel in the foreground

                            Afraid this got abandoned this year due to work commitments time is spread thin,the wild life will gain deer an all

                              Well that solved the lack of water,just had a thunder & lightning storm go over with monsoon type rain

                                like Harry, I only found your thread this evening. What a delightful and natural water feature. There is a lot of skill needed to keep a pond like this looking good.
