We took everything yesterday morning for her to get it set up. The judging was going to be all afternoon and the show is open from midday today. She'll go along about 2 p.m. and stay at the show till it finishes and then bring everything back. I had a look round whilst everyone was sorting out their entries and there were some really fabulous things there.

Well, Mrs Shiney had a very good day . She entered seven categories and got three first and two seconds I've posted pictures here

What pleased her even more was that, as she was wandering around the show, there was a stand where they also had a competition (from a nursery) to identify 10 plants. Apparently she immediately rattled off all the answers and ended up winning first prize - a box of eight different heucheras. She seems to be even more happy with that win than for the entries she made

The 80th party went well last night as well. It was in a village hall and there were about 80 people there . The entertainment was pretty good and ran for about three hours. They had the Flamenco dancers that come to our Open Day, a singer who sang pop songs from the 50's and 60's and, as he's a professional Elvis impersonator, he did an Elvis set as well (very good). There was also a guitarist who played all types of music from popular to jazz.

Don't you just love these warm balmy days,the way I see it is ,I remember last winter,getting dark at 3pm in the afternoon,wet weather ,dark skies, however high the temperature is to day,its got to be better than the winter,so lets enjoy our day
