    Many of you (possibly all of you :heehee:) will not have heard of the Nicholas Brothers. Fred Astaire said that they were the best tap dancers ever.

    Here's a clip of them with Cab Callaway and his band. Cab does his famous scat singing first and then Fayard and Harold Nicholas come in. Fayard was still performing in his late eighties!

          Nora Jones does a very creditable version of the Kris Christofferson song.

              This first song is especially for Woo as it's his anniversary :)

              Jane Morgan recorded this in 1959

              This song of hers made it to No.1 in 1958 but this is a live performance she did with Louis Armstrong (sorry about the poor quality of the video)

              In 1968, in one of her TV Specials, she did this tribute to her friend Edith Piaf :blue thumb:. If you think her French sounds very good it's because she lived, and performed, there for many years.

              When Johnny Cash made his big hit "A Boy Named Sue" Jane made a record, in 1970, called "A Girl Named Johnny Cash" :heehee:
              She did pretty well with it and then she appeared on TV with Johnny making fun of it.

              She's still going strong at the age of 90 :)

                Always good to start the day with a bit of Johnny Cash @shiney .

                For some reason I dug out some Springsteen the other day.

                    So will this..................

                    It's more commonly performed by a violin and piano, but I really like this version with the cello replacing the violin. There's also a version somewhere on YouTube with a cello and harp.

                              @Jenny namaste
                              I had a bit of a Ska session the other night and ended up rediscovering one of the first single that I ever bought - Bankrobber by The Clash..................

                              The b side was my first exposure to Reggae (and one of the few Reggae tracks that I still like) - Rockers Galore recorded with Mikey Dread................
